Emory Healthcare Veterans Program  1-888-514-5345.  Free two-week residence program offers post-9/11 veterans expert and collaborative care to help heal the invisible wounds of war. Their comprehensive approach combines behavioral health care, including psychiatry and neurology, rehabilitative medicine, wellness, and family support to help you reintegrate and reclaim your life.

NAMI offers education programs, advocate by shaping national policies, and leads mental awareness events and activities.  NAMI has a great website with all kinds of mental health information, from mental illness names, diagnoses criteria, and symptoms to offering classes and support meetings at their local affiliates.  NAMI has a non-emergency HelpLine that can be reached Monday through Friday, 10 am–6 pm, ET. National Center for PTSD1-800-273-8255.  The National Center for PTSD is dedicated to research and education on trauma and PTSD. They work to assure that the latest research findings help those exposed to trauma.

PTSD Foundation of America, Atlanta Chapteris a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring to our combat veterans and their families with post-traumatic stress.  They offer a safe place where no one is judged, everyone is supported, and everything a warrior says or is revealed is confidential within the group.

AboutFace-USA® has visited this excellent temporary housing facility for veterans and families. They provide programs, housing, meals, and assists with therapies. Once the veteran is confident and stable, they assist the veteran with transitioning back to civilian life.

The SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd CenterThe SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center is a comprehensive rehabilitation program that focuses on assessment and treatment for active duty or separated service members who have served in the U.S. military since September 11, 2001 and who are experiencing symptoms of or have a diagnosis of mild to moderate brain injury, or concussions and any co-occurring psychological or behavioral health concerns, including post-traumatic stress.  The SHARE Military Initiative provides hope, assistance, support and education to service members and their families during their recovery treatment and beyond.  Get more information about the SHARE admissions process.    If you have additional questions about the program, call 404-603-4314 or email ShareAdmissions@shepherd.org.
